They say music is a universal language, but for most adults, that 'conversation' usually stays inside a quiet practice room. We started the Masterclass Circle to change that! This program is exclusive to our adult students at New Song Music Academy and is designed to help you move beyond solo practice and into a fun, thriving musical community.

What to Expect...

Once a month, we gather for an evening that is equal parts education and connection. Each session features a deep dive led by one of our faculty members into the "soft skills" of musicianship that often go unaddressed in standard lessons. Recent and upcoming topics include:

• The Emotional Bridge: Techniques for connecting your inner emotions with dynamics and expression.

• Performance Mindset: Practical strategies for overcoming jitters and finding confidence on stage.​

We believe that learning is most effective when it’s enjoyable. That’s why every Masterclass Circle is paired with beverages and hors d'oeuvres, providing a relaxed environment to decompress after a long day. More importantly, it’s a space to meet your peers. There is something uniquely encouraging about sharing a glass of wine with someone else who is also navigating their first sonata or trying to master a difficult jazz progression.
